Meet The Founder
Isaiah Payne launched CoolestRugz in 2023 with nothing but a tufting gun, A punch needle an vision, and a mission to change how the world sees rug art. What started as a late-night creative outlet in Kansas City quickly evolved into something bigger — a movement.
At first, Isaiah handcrafted rugs for local clients, influencers, and artists — but deep down, he knew the work belonged in frames, not just on floors. That spark led to a full transformation of rug tufting into collectible, gallery-ready textile art.
Isaiah’s mission is to give people art they can feel — physically, emotionally, and historically. Each piece is built with intention, framed with care, and made to live forever on the walls of homes, studios, and collectors around the world.

The Day Rug Art Hit the Airwaves

I walked into that studio carrying more than a rug — I carried a story, a dream, and the years of work behind it. Being featured live on TV wasn’t just about exposure… it was about validation. A chance to show the world that rug art can speak, move, and inspire.KC Live gave me a platform to share what I do and why I do it. I didn’t walk in as a business — I walked in as an artist with a vision, representing Kansas City with every stitch. That day reminded me: people are watching, and the mission is real.

The Night the Runway Met Rug Art
I walked the runway not with fashion, but with culture in hand — holding a custom KC Chiefs rug I designed by hand, representing my city with every thread. The crowd wasn’t just watching a show — they witnessed a statement.
This wasn’t about just rugs. This was about legacy, art, and energy colliding under the lights. It was the first time my work hit the runway, and I made sure it landed loud.
